Parking Information and Golf Cart Rules

PARKING

– Paid parking is in effect in Kure Beach from March 15, 2024 – September 30, 2024 from 8AM – 6PM.

2024 Parking Fees

– You can choose to pay a nearby machine, text to pay, or download the Premium Parking App. Download the app and view the parking availability here.

– View the interactive parking map here. 

– Visitors can also purchase a daily, weekly or a season pass.

– Parking is free in any handicap space for vehicles with a valid hang tag or license plate.

Town of Kure Beach Parking Information

GOLF CARTS

– All golf carts must be street legal and driven by a licensed individual.  Please click the link below for the driving rules in Kure Beach.

– Only electric carts are allowed in Kure Beach.

PARKING

– The town of Carolina Beach offers town operated lots and metered parking. Paid parking is enforced March 1st – October 31st from 9am – 8pm.

– In addition to the town operated lots, there are private paid parking lots. Make sure you are aware of which you are in to avoid additional costs or towing. 

– Parking is free in any handicap space located in a town operated lot or in front of a meter for vehicles with a valid hang tag or plate. 

– Town of Carolina Beach Parking Information

GOLF CARTS

– Electric and gas golf carts are allowed in Carolina Beach. Drivers must be 16 or older with a valid driver’s license. You may only drive on roads with a posted speed limit of 35MPH or less. All regular road rules apply and keep right to allow for passing vehicles.

– Carts must be equipped with headlights, a review mirror, side mirrors on each side of the cart, reflex reflectors, windshield wipers, taillights and turn signal lamps.

– Seat belts are required for every person seated on the golf cart. Seat belts must be worn by all passengers exceeding 8 years of age and exceeding 80 lbs of weight. A child passenger less than 8 years of age and less than 80lbs in weight shall be properly secured in a weight-appropriate passenger restraint system.

– Golf carts can be rented from SunFun Rentals or from Icon Superstore Golf Cart Rentals in Carolina Beach.
