Kure Beach Fishing Pier Information
Bring the whole family to the Kure Beach Fishing Pier! Built in 1923, it’s the oldest pier on the Atlantic. It sits 26 feet above the ocean, is 711 feet long and is a must-see spot here in Kure Beach! Seasonally, bait, tackle, rod and reel combos are available for purchase. The pier is family friendly and alcohol is not allowed. Be sure to check out the gift shop, eat an ice cream cone or try your hand at the arcade games.

The Kure Beach Pier hosts yearly fishing tournaments, notably the Cape Fear Disabled Sportsman Fishing Tournament. Hosted by the Got-Em-On Live Bait Club, it draws hundreds of participants and viewers. Other tournaments include King Mackerel, a women’s tournament and one specifically for young anglers.
